Stir Crazy
Today I decided we needed to get out of the house. We hadn’t really been anywhere since Saturday when my dad came to visit. We were getting a little stir crazy. The kids slept in and ate a late breakfast so we went for a late lunch at McDonalds. Apparently, waiting until 1:00 to eat is a great idea! The play area only had 3 other kids in it. Mason had a blast with another little girl while we were there. Both kids were very well behaved and wore themselves out playing. We came home so the kids could take a nap then headed to the library when they woke up. I was getting tired of reading The Three Billy Goats Gruff every single night at bedtime so I thought I would let the kids pick out some new reading material. They had a good time picking out books and watching the mice that the library keeps in the kids’ area.
Mason being his silly self. I can’t get him to take serious pictures these days. He’s always wanting to do something “funny”. I guess he gets that from his daddy.
After the kids went to bed, I filled out all of my unemployment stuff online. It’s quite depressing… I think it is really just now hitting me that I have no job for the first time in 12 years. While it’s nice to be with the kids, I can’t help but worry about the future and what is going to happen.
