Brickyard 400
I won Brickyard 400 tickets at work last week. I had absolutely no desire to go to the race but Dustin said he’d go. He asked his dad to go with him. So early Sunday morning, they left for Indy. Along with the general admission tickets were 2 passes to the Miller Lite party deck. Apparently the guys had a good time.

Happy 4th of July!
We have had a fun filled weekend! On Saturday we took the kids to the drive-in in Reo, IN to see Toy Story 3. We had such a good time and the movie was great! I can’t wait to see it again! Just a warning…the ending is a tear jerker!
On Sunday, Mamaw and Papaw came down to visit. We went to dinner, Best Buy and Target. Then we came back here and played Wii. They had never played before and we all had a great time. Usually Mason is awesome at bowling but Papaw managed to beat him by 2 pins!
Wii is pretty serious around here. Check us out playing Mario Kart.
We had such a fun weekend! Thanks Mamaw for grabbing my camera and taking pictures of us playing. We all have so much fun!
We didn’t go to any fireworks this year. This is the first year that Mason hasn’t been scared but we found out that Avery is! The kids stood out on the deck tonight to watch the neighbors and poor Avery was terrified. She gets it honest..I was scared of them for the longest time.

Dress Up
Joy brought some clothes over the other night that Hope can’t wear anymore. Avery loves it when she gets clothes from Hope! She immediately wants to start trying things on. Well one of the things that Joy brought over is this leotard with the skirt. It also has a hair tie and shoes to match. Avery is in love! She put it on and wore it all evening. She only took it off to put on a pair of Spongebob pajamas that she found in the box!
The next night she found this dress. It’s one of several dresses but it’s the only summer one. She is in love with it too! She looks so grown up!
Thanks for the clothes Joy and Hope!!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame
On Wednesday evening, we headed to Bosse Field to watch the Evansville Otters. Papaw Sanders brought Braeden and Luke and we met the Davis family at the park. Despite the heat we all had a great time. The younger kids were filthy and exhausted–a sure sign of a good time!
I absolutely love this picture. I really wish Avery didn’t have a water bottle in her mouth but oh well. It still is absolutely adorable. Spencer is such a cutie. I love how he says “cheeseburger” when you take his picture!
These two are such good friends. In fact right before I took this one, Spencer said Mason is his best friend. The feeling is definitely mutual. Mason talks about Spencer all the time and their teacher at school says they’re inseparable when they’re both there at the same time.

These two crack me up. At one point during a head count I came up two short. I looked down the aisle and there they were. Sitting there about 6 seats down from all of us just taking in the game.
Of course no trip to the ball park would be complete without some sort of souvenir. Daddy took Mason to the bathroom and came back with baseball bats for the kids. Mason got a red one (of course) and they got Avery a pink one. Shortly thereafter another trip was made to get Luke and Braeden one too.
At the end of the game (yes, we managed to stay til the end!) the kids went down to the field to run the bases. Avery spotted Evan the Otter (their mascot) and took off running towards him. He was on his way to the locker room to get out of the incredibly hot Otter suit but he stopped to autograph Avery’s bat. She was so excited!
