Nothing too new is going on around here. Avery is still attempting to potty train. Some days are great and some days she could care less. It depends on if she wants M&Ms or jelly beans! She wore a pair of big girl panties the other day for over 4 hours before she had an accident in them. Even then, it was just a dribble. She’ll get it eventually.

We went to the Davis’ house on Saturday for a play date. Check out Erin’s blog for some pictures of the kids playing. They all had a great time. It was nice visiting with Will and Erin as well. Thanks for having us over!

We have been enjoying lots of outside time. We’re loving this weather! Mason rode his bike around the block the other day. I put Avery in the stroller and Rose on her leash and we took off. It would be nice if the west side of Evansville were a little less hilly. I had to pull Mason up one of the hills and then had to hold onto him going down another one. He hasn’t yet mastered “riding” the brake to keep from going too fast. He did really well though and I am still amazed at the progress he’s made on his bike.

We’ll be in Olney this weekend for Luke’s 5th birthday party! Looking forward to it!!

We finally got to spend some time outside this afternoon. The kids woke up from their nap and we immediately went out to take advantage of the beautiful weather. I started sweeping some sand off of the driveway and even though I had gotten toys out for the kids, all they wanted were brooms! Eventually Mason took a bike ride down to the end of the road and back. Last fall he had trouble pedaling and steering the whole way down there and back. He had no trouble at all today and really enjoyed himself. It won’t be long before we’re taking trips around the block! I sure hope this weather is here to stay!

Yumm…brownies

We had dinner at the Huber’s last night. Since Joy handled dinner, I told her I would make dessert and bring drinks for the adults. When Mason woke up from nap, we made brownies. He loves helping me in the kitchen. He really likes to stir and mix.

And obviously, he loves to lick the spatula. I think that’s his favorite part.

If you know Mason at all, you know how much he hates having a messy face and hands. This drove him crazy but he couldn’t find a napkin to wipe it off. I had to hurry to snap a picture of his messy cheeks. Love it!

Kicked back…chillin’

Avery had a great day today! She managed to stay dry all day today at daycare. When they changed her when Dustin picked her up, she had peed but that was the first time all day. I’m so proud of her. I was thinking about how well she has been doing so when I was at Target earlier, I picked up some M&Ms to give as rewards. Now that she knows she gets candy for going potty (or pots as she calls it), she is more than willing to hang out in the bathroom.

Apparently we adults have it all wrong. We are not near relaxed enough in the bathroom. We should kick back and put our feet up. Maybe it helps…

She wasn’t wet this evening either. She told me every time she had to go. Here’s hoping!

**Oh yeah, I know you’re all jealous of my rocking ’70s bathroom. Pretty sweet, heh?

Prayers for Logan and pics of kiddos

Please continue to pray for my nephew Logan and the Sanders family. He is home from the hospital but the reason for his breathing episodes was not determined. Therefore, we are praying that they do not continue. Dad and I went to St. Louis on Saturday to see Logan and support Derek and Miranda. This is how he looked when we walked into his room in the Pediatric ICU. So peaceful. It’s hard to imagine that a baby this beautiful and peaceful could just stop breathing for no reason. Please continue to pray that it doesn’t happen again.

On our way home from St. Louis on Saturday night, we hit a deer in dad’s car. We are fine but dad’s car is going to need some pretty major front end repair. Luckily we were able to drive it the rest of the way home and we were not injured. I have not had great luck with deer this year…

I took Avery’s clothes off to eat dinner tonight (our meal was kind of messy). She didn’t want to put any clothes back on but insisted on wearing this black shoe. She walked around like this for an hour. She definitely has a mind of her own.

Mason got a hair cut today but wouldn’t let me take a picture. Typical…

So I’m pretty new to Twitter. In fact, I still don’t really know what the hell I’m doing. But that’s okay. Why? Because without it, I would have never known this existed. And that’s why I love Twitter. The end.

The kids finally got to meet Logan today. They were very excited! Mason immediately wanted to hold him. I got the pictures kind of out of order. See if you can guess which one is the first picture of Mason holding Logan…

Not this one either. Avery is getting in there to check things out. She’s pretty fond of him, too. I think they’re both in love!

Nope, not that one either. In fact, I’m not sure what he looks so upset about!

If you guessed the one above, you’d be right. Like I said, he was VERY excited. He did a great job holding him and enjoyed singing to him. Avery just really likes to pat and rub on him. She also gave some kisses.

She’s one proud Momma; rightfully so. He’s perfect. I have been blessed with the most adorable nephews. Lots of love to the Sanders family! We enjoyed spending the afternoon and evening with you guys!

Welcome Logan Chase Sanders

**Update 2/20–Here are pictures of Logan. Isn’t he adorable?

Logan was born just before 5 pm. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 3 oz and 18.5 inches. He is super cute and is perfect! Miranda did wonderful and looked amazing! Congratulations to Derek, Miranda, Braeden and Luke! We love you!

I was in such a hurry to get to the hospital, I forgot to get my camera! So, I’ll get pictures from my dads camera tomorrow and post them.
